The Coast HP3R is a rechargeable penlight that offers an\noutput of 245 lumens or 86 lumens depending on the battery type being used.\n\nThe dual power system means that it can be powered by the\nincluded Coast 530 mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery, which is more\neconomical in the long run, or it can use two non-rechargeable AAA alkaline\nbatteries that can be swapped out with the lithium polymer battery for lower\noutputs but longer run-times, which is perfect as a back up if you run out of\ncharge and are away from a power source.\n\nThe rechargeable lithium polymer battery can be charged\ninside the torch via the hidden Pro-Tek charging port built into the tail which\ncan be revealed by twisting just the top section of the tail cap above the red\nline.
