It is fitted with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 standard prime lens which is also in excellent optical, physical and mechanical condition. \nOne of the most desirable features of this example is that it does not suffer from the well-known \u201CCanon Cough\u201D shutter squeak which affects many AE-1 cameras. The shutter mechanism operates correctly, smoothly and quietly. \nPrior to sale, the camera was fitted with new light seal material and a replacement mirror bumper foam. Because the seals are new, the rear film door may initially require a slightly firmer push to close than on an untouched example. This is normal.
