A superb example of the Sd Kfz 142 StuG III Ausf C/D.\n\nInitially designed for infantry support, the Stug III based on the Panzer III chassis became probably the most numerous of Germany's armoured fighting vehicles in WWII. In Russia the Stugs were pressed into an anti tank role where they excelled benefitting from good firepower and a low sillouette. The kit represents an Ausf B which was armed with the 7.5cm StuK37 L/24. The Ausf B featured a number of improvements to the tracks, wheels and transmission making it more reliable than the Ausf A.
