Woodpeckers 641 and 851 Squares pack the features of our best-selling 1281 into more "apron- friendly" sizes. You can easily keep either one with you all the time in your shop. Unlike most squares on the market, the 641 and 851 have a one-piece central core which is precisely machined to be within +/-.0085° of 90°...or better. On both sides of that central core, we pin precision-machined cheeks flush with the base and 1/4" back from the inside edge. This forms a shoulder that keeps the square registered to your material without you holding it in place. Whether you're setting up machines, laying out joinery or checking parts as they go together, these squares are the ones you want for every step of your project.
