These carpets are knotted in the holy city of Henagar in central Persia. The Henagar carpet is one of the most exclusive knotted works of art in the Orient. It comes in three variations: Cork wool on cotton, Cork wool with silk on cotton and silk on silk. Even the Henagar carpet variation cork wool on cotton is outstanding. Cork wool comes from the shearing of the lamb's neck. It is soft and greasy, extremely stain resistant and extremely durable.
