The Heritage Audio HA-81a Elite Channel Strip combines a 73-style preamp with an 81-style equaliser, giving you character-packed sound whether you're plugging in a microphone, a guitar or a bass. Just like the original Neve 1073, the preamp treats you to a colossal 80 decibels of gain, so even ribbon microphones are supported, while the 1081-style EQ offers a few more options compared to the 1073. Instead of a fixed 12kHz shelf, the '81 gives you the pick of five frequencies and the mid-band can be switched between a broad, tone-shaping Q-factor and a more surgically precise, narrow Q-factor depending on the job at hand.
