SRM TECH\n\nPLATTER ISOLATING KIT FOR REGA TURNTABLES\n\n \n\nThis is our Platter Isolating Kit for Rega decks, designed to decouple the platter from the sub-platter, effectively absorbing vibration and resonance generated by the motor and the main bearing.\n\nOriginally developed for our superb Athena Turntable, these isolating discs also work very well on all Rega decks. Noise is generated in the main bearing and this is transmitted directly into the sub-platter. Motor noise also reaches the sub-platter via the drive belt. The ideal, then, is to isolate the main platter from the sub-platter whilst still holding it firmly in place. The discs are made of a particular type and grade of synthetic polymer, specially selected as a result of extensive listening tests. Two discs are supplied in 1mm and 2mm thicknesses, which has the added benefit of allowing upward platter height adjustment of up to 3mm - ;
