The Godin ACS Grand Concert SG is a nylon-stringed electro-acoustic with a comfortably slim body, a traditional 25.5" scale length and a 2" wide nut and all the feel of an authentic classical guitar. However, there's no sound-hole since the body is completely closed which, thankfully, also means there's no feedback when you plug in. The Godin ACS Grand Concert SG: Classic and Pure Tone Hiding at the base of this instrument, and just next to the standard jack-port, is an RMC output. This is a hexaphonic output that's able to unpick and separate the sound of each individual string and send them as independent MIDI signals. This is where the ACS Grand Concert SG explodes the mind a bit. Via the custom RMC output, this acoustic transforms into a controller for guitar synthesizers like the Roland GR-55GK, without any need to mount any extra ugly or cumbersome pickup for the purpose. This highly intelligent classical guitar comes complete with its own gig bag.
