The DiMarzio DP155 The Tone Zone is a bridge pickup with a fairly high output, but at the same time it has a wide dynamic range. This pickup responds well to both soft and hard hits, where soft is really soft - and hard is really hard. Good pickups to combine with in the neck position are, for example, the DiMarzio Air Norton, PAF Joe or PAF Pro. High-output single-coils like The Cruiser and Fast Track also work well together. The Tone Zone has quite a lot of low and low-mid, with which you can create a fat sound. This combined with a big boost in the high-mid and a bit less treble, makes chords sound very big and single notes have a lot of depth. The so-called Dual-Resonance coils also deliver a lot of overtones for a humbucker of this calibre.
