With the DiMarzio DP148 Ultra Jazz Bridge bass guitar bridge pickup, you get a Fender Jazz Bass-style element, from which you can get both modern and vintage sounds. The element has two coils per string, making this pickup work like a humbucker. Compared to the traditional Jazz Bass sound, this pickup has a deeper low-end, a rounder but not muddy midrange and a lively high-end, with harmonic overtones always present.
