RimPro-Tec Wheelbands by RimPro-Tec use a two-piece base track and clip-in pinstripe insert system for the outer rim of alloy wheels. This full car kit is supplied with 4 silver base tracks and 4 dark green pinstripe inserts, with the base tracks cut to fit wheels from 12" to 22" that have a 5 mm wide flat outer edge on the face of the wheel. The tough plastic construction sits between the wheel rim and road hazards during low-speed manoeuvring such as parallel parking, while also helping to cover minor wheel damage. Pinstripe inserts with minor scratches and scuffs can be snapped out, flipped over and reinserted to present a fresh surface. More seriously damaged inserts can be replaced with colour inserts sold separately. The product is fully road tested since 2009 and is not for motorcycles.
