As such, the Paiste Rude sound edge hi-hat 14-inch is primed for loud to very loud cymbal rhythms. Its chick sound (the closing of the cymbals) is strong and penetrating. Finally, 'Sound Edge' means that the lower cymbal is corrugated. This is to prevent vacuuming of the two cymbals when they come flat on top of each other when closing the hi-hat.
