What immediately catches the eye with this set are the holes. This sets the PST X Swiss Hats hi-hat apart from other sets. Because of these holes, the sound is also different from regular hi-hats; it most resembles an analogue drum computer. The 16-inch large cymbals are both medium thin type and are finished with a silk-like finish. This is a set that is very suitable for electronic music, hip-hip beats, but also certainly doesn't look out of place as a second hi-hat. Raw and dry The holes in the cymbals provide a dry, raw sound when the hi-hat is closed. When open, the set is quite loud, but with a medium to short sustain it is also quickly gone. A CuSn8 alloy with 8 per cent tin was chosen, which is equivalent to a B8 alloy. This set is particularly lively in character.
