Two different alloys were used for this hihat. The upper cymbal is made of a CuSn20 alloy, consisting of about 80 per cent copper and 20 per cent tin. This cymbal therefore has a relatively warm and rich sound. The lower cymbal partially compensates for this and mainly has a bright, clear attack. Fully closed, this hihat sounds relatively dry and crispy. The 'chick' sound is full and sharp. For drummers who, like Stewart Copeland, like subtle playing with an explosive moment here and there, 'The Rhythmatist' 12-inch Combo Crisp hihat is very interesting.
