Paiste's versatile Giant Beat 16-inch hi-hats consists of a medium thin top cymbal and a medium heavy bottom cymbal. They're made of CuSn8 Bronze and hammered by hand. They produce a warm, sparkling sound at low and high volumes and have a defined stick response, a soft, tight chick and a woody open sound making them suitable for a wide range of music styles. Giant Beat series The Giant Beat series was introduced by Paiste in 1967 when rock and pop music was becoming bigger and bigger. These cymbals were re-launched in 2005 and are still made in the same way as the originals at Paiste's factory in Switzerland to ensure the same great sound.
