MEXICAN FAMILY-OWNED, 100 % AGAVE ANJEO TEQUILA – Tapatio Anejo is an aged tequila made from 100% agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. Tapatio was first produced in 1937 and is still produced the same today. VELVETY TEXTURE WITH SWEET FRUIT AND CHOCOLATE NOTES – Tapatio Anejo is full of rich character, with a velvety texture and sweet fruit and chocolate notes. After the second distillation the tequila is placed into first-fill ex-bourbon barrels where it ages for 18 months. FIELD TO BOTTLE – The Camarena family control the whole production process from field to bottle. They start with growing their own agaves in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco and the water is from a natural well with no colourants or flavourings are added. ARTISANAL PRODUCTION METHODS – The Camarena family follows a style of production considered artisanal in Tequila-making. The agaves are slowly cooked in traditional ‘hornos’, crushed by a Tahona wheel and then go through a long, natural fermentation process.
