A very special Anejo Tequila, previously reserved only for the friends and family of Don Felipe and Carlos Camarena, Tapatio Excelencia Gran Reserva is aged for around four years in new white American oak, heavily charred. Produced in very small batches, Excelencia Gran Reserva is one of the world’s finest sipping spirits. Oak forward on the nose with butterscotch, toffee and sweet pastry matching grilled sweet peppers and cooked agave, the palate is intense with sweet and peppery notes before a wash of ripe apple and pear. The finish is complex with a gentle dryness.
