Pegasus Hobbies 1/72 Maus\n\nGerman Super Heavy Tank\n\nModel Kit\n\n20 mm Scale\n\nBrand new and unbuilt. \n\nRef : PH7501\n\nA superb kit of the 188 ton Maus German Super Heavy Tank. Armed with both a 128mm KwK 44 L/55 and a 75mm KwK 44 L/36 the Maus was a colossal beast. While it never made it into service it was described by Heinz Guderian as \""\""The gigantic offspring of the fantasy of Hitler and his advisers\""\"". Given its weight, the Maus had a specially designed rail wagon for transporting it.\n\nOnly two prototype hulls were completed, V1 and V2, from the intial 5 ordered and only one turret was completed. The V2 prototype featured a dummy turret which weighed the same. V2 differed from V1 with the turret being fitted with the 128mm, 75mm and coaxial 7.92mm MG34 weapons fitted.\n\nKrupp were ordered to halt production of further hulls in July 1944 and all production ceased in August 1944 at the same time the V2 started testing. \n\nThe V1 and V2 prototypes were captured by tg
