The Black Mask \n\nVintage Pulp Magazines\n6 Volumes on 1 DVD \n\nBlack Mask was a pulp magazine launched in 1920 by\njournalist H. L. Mencken and drama critic George Jean Nathan. The magazine was\none of a number of money-making publishing ventures to support the prestigious\nliterary magazine The Smart Set, which Mencken edited, and which had operated\nat a loss since at least 1917. Under their editorial hand, the magazine was not\nexclusively a publisher of crime fiction, offering, according to the magazine,\n\""the best stories available of adventure, the best mystery and detective\nstories, the best romances, the best love stories, and the best stories of the\noccult.\"" The magazine's first editor was Florence Osborne (credited as F.\nM. Osborne).\n\nPlease bear in mind that these magazines at\nthe time of scanning were 80 years old, and some pages might be damaged or\nmissing. Some issue might be missing too, as this is not the complete\ncollection of the Black Mask.\n\nAll thes.
