Its simple but effective design which is a \npressurised cushion of air and a two ring piston, which permanently \nseparates this air cushion from the water system. When the valve closes \nand the water flow is suddenly stopped, the pressure spike pushes the \npiston up the arrester chamber against the pressurised cushion of air, \nwhich reacts instantly, absorbing the pressure spike that causes water \nhammer.\nArrestors should be installed within six feet of the problem valve/tap.\n--May be installed at any angle.\n--Install directly on washing machine supply valve or directly to washing machine.\n--Designed for residential use.
