Brightwell Xport Bio Plate is a high-performance filtration media designed for aquariums and ponds, with exceptional porosity and a very large usable surface area to support efficient bacterial colonisation. It provides extensive aerobic and anaerobic habitat for beneficial bacteria, helping to reduce toxic ammonia and nitrites, lower phosphate and dissolved organics, and maintain cleaner water in freshwater, marine, and pond systems. Doped with aragonite to help buffer pH at the bacteria level, it is suitable for use as a standalone filter media or alongside other filtration materials. Please note that, depending on availability, an alternatively branded Continuum brick may be supplied, which is the exact same product. Size: 9 x 4.5 x 2.5 inches. Recommended use is one brick per 1,000 US gallons of system capacity, with more for heavier biological loads. Rinse before use, and for best results seed with an appropriate bacterial product and place mechanical filtration ahead of the media to prevent clogging.
