Most studio owners can name some studio monitor brands in the mid-high end. One of those names will be the German HEDD. Absolutely quality, with a price tag (though not exorbitant either), and therefore not within everyone's reach. With the HEDD Type 07 A-Core active studio monitor, there is now something to choose from. Not that it is 'budget', but for this price you do get a very nice 7-inch for your mix. The strong point is the ribbon tweeter, which provides huge high frequencies that are not only accurate, but also very pleasant to listen to.
