The next command would normally be \u201CHandle Cartridge\u201D and the soldier would move his right hand under the flap of thecartridge box to remove one of the cartridges, bringing it to his mouth to tear the tail of the paper cartridge open so the pan could be primed with a small portion of the powder. The pan would then be closed so the musket could be cast about to the left side to continue the loading sequence.\n1/3!
