Manufactured with a medium to firm tension, the Bedmaster maestro mattress combines an open coil spring system with a layer of memory foam. The mattress is upholstered with a soft-touch stretch knit fabric cover and finished with traditional hand tufting, helping to keep the fillings securely in place. Hand tufting involves passing tapes through the mattress at regular points, preventing the internal comfort layers from shifting over time. Beneath the outer cover there lies a layer of supportive memory foam, which softens with body heat and gently moulds to your natural contours. The open coil springs are arranged in rows from head to toe and connected on both sides by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire, creating one supportive spring unit. For added strength and stability, a heavy gauge rod-edge wire is fitted around the top and bottom of the perimeter springs. This easy-care mattress does not need to be turned over, although regular rotation is recommended to help maintain its comfort, support and lifespan.
