Anyone who's tried working with a pattern sequencer will know that as long as you're willing to stick to the same scale, you're fine. But as soon as you want to transpose something, the problems start. Since classic sequencers could only add fixed values to the frequencies to 'tune up', they completely ignored diatonics and made things pretty limited. So, if you want to transpose a sequence in C-major to D-minor, you'll get it in D-major. Packed up in a Eurorack-friendly format, the Eventide Misha does something different. With this diatonic hardware-based pattern sequencer, you can finally sequence in a specific key. Simply select your key and the notes will shift into the right pitch, and while sequencers are usually designed to control filters and other modules via CV signals, the Misha can be used a sequencer in its own right.
