The Avantone Pro SSM is a shock mount that's designed for professional use. It's fit for the small-diaphragm microphones by Avantone Pro, but can also be used for nearly any other microphone with a diameter of 19 to 22 mm. The shock mount is highly durable and prevents body-to-body vibrations reaching your microphone via the microphone stand. Durable construction of the SSM The housing of the Avantone Pro SSM is made of die-cast metal (zinc). Apart from durability, it also increases the unit's mass, adding to vibration dampening. The microphone itself is clamped between four durable rubber O-rings, so that the mic is suspended completely freely.
