The first two pages have been removed because they were no doubt carrying the library barcode and issue slip. There has not been any loss of readability or text because the first page is normally blank and the next one is usually the title page. The following page - the dedications page - has a sold stamp on it. There's some light foxing to the internal pages (a browning or tanning effect that occurs and deepens in some papers as they age).
