A unanimous hit when it was first released in 1954, Gastone Rinaldi’s 'DU 30' chair has maintained icon status nearly 70 years after it made its debut. The winner of the first Compasso d’Oro — then the Compasso d’Oro-Rinascente — the chair is notable for a central cutting and stitching effect that brings to mind the contemporary works of Lucio Fontana. In addition, a single shell in steel mesh padded with moulded polyurethane foam and accompanied by legs in bent and welded iron tubing complete a look that is at once a classic and supremely modern. Upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather in 'Carminio'.
