The large circular woven straw forms often found in Lapp handicrafts provided a key source of inspiration for Monica Förster's 'Esedra' ottoman, where slightly overlapping segments combine to create a simple disk-shaped pouf. With the centre of the pouf acting as the 'heart', large slices of Pelle Frau® Heritage leather in 'Castagno' emerge to give the ottoman a distinct sunray effect that is at once decorative and simple. An internal structure of birch plywood and solid beech, and polyurethane foam and polyester wadding provide unfailing stability, while a wood lacquered base with black scratch-resistant textured paint ensures balance and support.
