For mounting a SATA M.2 SSD card in B Key or B+M Key on a SATA 7+15-pin type connector. This adapter is integrated into a 2.5" drive-sized case, allowing you to protect the SSD and mount the whole unit "cleanly" in your computer. For SATA M2 SSDs, will not support PCIe M2 SSDs. For B Key or B+M Key connector SATA 1/2/3 compatible For 3.3V M.2 disks. Maximum bandwidth 6GB in SATA 3 (SATA revision 3.1). Supports M2 SSDs in the following formats: Type 2242-D2-B-M: 42mm(L) x 22mm(W) Type 2260-D2-B-M: 60mm(L) x 22mm(W) Type 2280-D2-B-M: 80mm(L) x 22mm(W) The SSD installed on this adapter will be recognised as a "classic" SATA drive, so you can install an operating system or use it for storage. The protective case features the fixing points specific to 2.5" format drives, so it can be easily and securely fitted in place of a SATA 2.5 drive.
