Jamal's first major musical breakthrough came when he moved to Paris and recorded Give The Vibes Some (1974), a stunningly good exploration of the potential of his instrument. Here reissued by Souffle Continu, it remains a dazzlingly good set, with Jamal showcasing his virtuoso playing - often with minimal.
