Handmade pendant lamp Parrot XXL with overhanging shade made of rattan and abaca Parrot XXL pendant lamp catches the eye with its particularly large shade, made of rattan and abacá, a plant native to East Asia. It consists of superimposed small ropes designed in different colors, creating an unusual pattern. The textile suspension and the metal canopy are designed in black and complete the look of the pendant lamp. On the inside, the bulb holder is surrounded by a separate diffuser, whereby the light is emitted glare-free to the surroundings. With an external dimmer and matching bulb it is possible to dim the lamp. When designing the Parrot series of lamps, product designer Jette Scheib was inspired by the cultural influence and diversity of basketry and basket design. The collection highlights the colorful and expressive side of wicker culture. Parrot is produced by the well-known French lighting manufacturer Forestier.
