Basting is the process of securing two or more layers of fabric or other materials together using long stitches, in preparation for stitching. The beauty of this basting thread by Gutermann is that it can be pulled out afterwards without harming your fabric and it breaks very easily (its supposed to!) This thread performs best when used with big eyed, long needles.
