Hohner Golden Melody 40 C harmonica
Hohner
Hohner's Golden Melody 40 in C was first introduced in the 1950s. It was developed especially to play music from this era, which is why it's perfect for reliving the glory days of the Golden Age. This tremolo features two rows of holes. When you blow on one row, the Golden Melody 40 will produce two tones that are slightly different in frequency which creates the vibrating effect known as the tremolo! The Golden Melody 40 C This harmonica is tuned to the key of C, which you can verify by blowing on the lowest and highest tones, which are both C. A harmonica in C is often used as a cross harp for music in the key of G. Hohner used the very best materials for the Golden Melody-the comb is made of red plastic, which means it won't swell and lasts longer than a wooden one. The reed plates and reeds are made of brass, so you get a wonderful resonance in combination with the covers and the comb. Last but not least, the covers are made of aluminium and anodised with pure gold!
