The HVI Power Conductor is a high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductor designed for maintaining separation from conductive parts as per IEC/EN 62305-3, preventing dangerous flashovers between external lightning protection systems and indoor conductive system components. With a special outer sheath, it discharges high lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential, preventing creeping discharge. It's black, has a conductor cross-section of 25mm², made of copper, comprises 7 wires and has an outer diameter of 5.6mm. The conductor is encapsulated in XLPE (VPE) and has an internal sealing end and equipotential bonding spring element inside a supporting tube with an air-termination rod and an earth connection element.
