Glow-worm is a complete flow switch and is suitable for use in SD and compact boilers. The flow switch, also known as a flow metre, has a built-in sensor that is positioned inside the hot water or heating system pipes as a crucial safety feature. The switch senses water flow and sends data to the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) of the boiler to prevent the burner from turning on when the system is dry or low on water.
