The front of the alarm clock is very clean. The buttons for setting the time and alarm are located on the back of the alarm clock. The large, wide area above the alarm clock is a daughter sensor that allows you to activate the white backlight for 5 seconds with a short touch. So you can read the display even in complete darkness.
