One of the best -known designs of the Bakhtiari nomads is the so -called "Chesti" (garden pattern). Fields with animal and plant motifs are harmoniously framed by an elaborate border. These rugs symbolize a Persian garden. Today, highly qualified knotters in India produce the Bakhtiari wool rug for THEKO in selected factories. This rug owes its excellent durability to the very dense and fine hand knotting with approx. 154,000 knots per m².
