DINO X is a powerful solution designed to effectively eliminate hairy or plague-type algae growth and dinoflagellates in reef tanks, treating algae outbreaks without harming corals. For optimal results, it is recommended to dose 5 ml of DINO X per 100 liters (26 gallons) of aquarium water. In cases of heavy infestations, the dosage can be increased to 6 ml per 100 liters. To prevent overdose, accurately calculate the aquarium water volume, and repeat the treatment every two days until the algae are completely eradicated. Typically, dinoflagellates may require around 10 doses, while other algae may need approximately 15. It is essential to avoid water changes during the treatment period and resume after one week from the last dosage. Additionally, refrain from dosing any trace elements, carbon, or ozone, and discontinue the use of absorbing media such as GFO and phosphate removers during treatment. It is advisable to run a high-performance skimmer continuously and at a wet skim setting. DINO X should always be administered in the evening or at least one hour after the main lighting has been turned off, as this enhances its effectiveness. Adjustments to water parameters can be made with Balling Light or lime water without affecting DINO X performance. Caution is recommended when using pre-mixed calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium solutions, as they may contain additional trace elements. Please note that DINO X is not a treatment for cyanobacteria, and when used correctly, it is safe for invertebrates and fish.
