The filter is easily attached just above the imaging sensor rather than the lens. It fits snuggly and stays secure after the lens is attached to the camera body. IR pass filters are ideal for infrared photography. They allow infrared light to reach the imaging sensor while preventing visible light from doing so. This results in more detailed, sharper and higher-in-contrast image.
