Roden 1/72 7.5cm Pak 40\nGerman Anti Tank Gun\n20mm Scale\nBrand new, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef : ROD711\n \nThe Pak 40 was the standard German anti-tank gun until the end of WWII, and was supplied by Germany to its allies. Captured Pak 40s were also used by the Russians. As well as being used as an anti tank gun with around 23,500 produced and another 6,000 being used to arm mobile tank destroyers such as the Marder, Hotchkiss and Sd Kfz 234/4.\n \nThe weapon was effective against almost every Allied tank until the end of the war, with the exception of the Soviet IS-2 and the American M26 Pershing. However it was much heavier than the Pak 38, making it difficult to move particularly over wet or boggy ground without a tractor. The Pak 40 was regularly towed by the Sd Kfz 11 and Opel Blitz.\n \nAfter the end of the war the PaK 40 remained in service in several European armies, including Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Finland, Hungary and Romania.&ng
