Made In Japan.\n\nHario translates as the 'king of glass'.  Since the company was founded in 1921 they have been living up to that reputation. \n\nCreated by Hario in collaboration with and Pete Licata, 2013 world barista champion. The form of the attachment resembles showerheads  used in filter coffee machines. Its function is to evenly distribute the water to the surface of the ground coffee, thanks to which the brewing process can be controlled more thoroughly and thus more consistent.\n\nThe Drip-Assist is made of high-quality polymer that is safe for contact with food. It has holes of two sizes - those with a larger diameter in the central part and smaller ones on the outside. Larger holes allow for quick water flow, recommended especially for pre-infusion, while external holes make water flow slowly. Water flows into the central section when the outer ring is full, which protects user against spillage spillag.
