To commemorate this year\u2019s Rock-themed National Album Day, Demon Records are delighted to announce this 50th anniversary limited edition vinyl reissue of \u2018Bolan\u2019s Zip Gun\u2019. Landing smack-bang in the middle of the \u201870s \u2013 the decade, lest we forget, Marc Bolan and T. Rex had helped officially kick off in 1970 with \u2018Ride A White Swan\u2019 \u2013 the album, with its mix of space-age soul and hypnotic rock \u2018n\u2019 roll repetition originally confused some critics but has since come to be regarded as something of a hidden gem. As usual, Marc knew which way the wind was blowing and \u2018Bolan\u2019s Zip Gun\u2019 both pays tribute to the glorious American R&B and funk that so dominated the era and anticipates Britain\u2019s punk revolution just around the corner. Not for nothing did Siouxsie Sioux once nominate the frenetic \u2018Think Zinc\u2019 as one of her favourite records. An album highlight, \u2018Think Zinc\u2019 became a single in Germa.
