This Youngs branded 10 litre Fermentation Vessel (also known as a fermenting bin or fermenting bucket) is made from food grade polypropylene and is printed with graduation markings up both sides. The graduations start at the 2 litre point and then are spaced every 2 litres up to the 10 litre mark, there are also graduations at the 1 gallon and 2 gallon points. Capacity to the brim is 10.7 litres and this version has a grommeted lid. Dimensions (approx.) are 280mm across the hoop handle, the bucket itself being 270mm across at the top, 240mm across at the base and 265mm in height. Being 10 Litre capacity means that it can comfortably be used for brewing the common 8 litre speciality beer kits, whilst leaving room for the head that invariably develops.
