The Idle Speed Control Valve features a precision-ground valve seat and plunger tip geometry matched to create a metal-to-metal line contact seal, while the Idle Air Control Valve keeps leakage within a very small range while allowing fine air metering at small openings. After removing the old IAC Valve, clean the mounting flange surface with a plastic scraper; place the included gasket onto the flange, align the bolt holes, hand-start the screws, then tighten the Idle Control Valve in a diagonal sequence to the torque value shown on the housing.
