Sow all year roundEasy to maintainSow: January to DecemberSowingLevel fill a tray with Westland Seed & Cutting Compost, firming gently with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Scatter seeds thinly, covering lightly with vermiculite. Place the tray in the fridge for 1 week, then move to a propagator at 20–25 °C or cover with cling film and leave in a warm room.Growing OnWhen shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position. Once seedlings have at least 4 leaves, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of Westland Cacti, Succulent & Terrarium Potting Mix or singly into small pots. Maintain a minimum temperature of 12 °C.AdviceSempervivums are drought-tolerant and thrive in well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering, as standing water can cause rot.
