Marshall's SC20H Studio Classic is a 20-watt tube guitar amp head based on the JCM800 2203. It gives you the same sounds as the model that was introduced in the 1980s and has been making mayhem ever since. The SC20H has three ECC83 tubes in the preamp and two EL34s in the power amp. That means you can get the same tones as the JCM800 2203, albeit at a lower volume. It's even possible to dial this amp head back to just 5 watts for practice sessions at home. A modern classic As you can tell from the control knobs on the SC20H, this model belongs to the Lead series. It has a 3-band EQ along with controls for presence as well as a preamp volume and a master volume. There are five different speaker outputs that allow you to connect this amp head to a variety of cabinets. There's also a DI out so that you can connect it directly to a mixer or a DAW, for instance. Finally, there's an FX loop on board too.
