The Marshall SN20H Studio 900 Head is basically the 20-Watt version of the iconic JCM900. Here, a three-pack of ECC93 preamp valves (including a phase splitter) and two 5881 power amp valves deliver that iconic '90s sound, even when you flip the power reduction switch and drop the output down to just 5 Watts. This plucky amp head supports small gigs but also brings that delicious tube-tone to your bedroom or rehearsal space. The SN20H: Compact Yet All-Encompassing While it's a fair bit smaller, the Marshall SN20H is just as sonically flexible as its high-gain, dual-reverb counterpart from the 1990s. In addition to individual gain, volume and reverb controls for both channels, you get a 3-band EQ section and a presence pot for dialling in your signature sound. Your favourite speaker cab is easily hooked up to one of five speaker outputs (16Ω / 8Ω / 4Ω), while a mixer or audio interface can be directly connected to the DI output.
