This is a miniature version of this graceful and elegant sculpture, you can almost feel the movement of the water as the flippers propel it along.. These fascinating amphibians are one of the planet39;s oldest creatures, dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. They are highly adapted to life in the sea and spend most of their time there, only usually visiting dry land during nesting time. The sea turtle is prominent in the folklore of many cultures, particularly in the Pacific region. In popular culture the sea turtle shot to fame after appearing in Pixar39;s hit movie Finding Nemo. Matt Buckley39;s endearing sculpture shows this ancient mariner moving gracefully through the ocean. Each sculpture will be beautifully presented in its own luxury box, a gift for giving. Edge Sculpture right from its beginnings is a range of contemporary statement pieces for the home and of course with that intention many of the pieces are purposely large in scale. This was Matt Buckley39;s primary design goal when originally conceiving and sculpting the range, utilizing such large proportions within his work to create pieces that have a bold and visually striking appearance. This is certainly echoed by many subjects that reside within both the past and present Edge Sculpture portfolio. Modern technological advances have most certainly aided with this new adventure, but Matt has had to make many small adjustments within the pieces to make them both possible to make and yet retain a virtual identical likeness to the much larger original sculpture. .
