Made in England / 100% cotton piqué fabric / Squarer fit compared to M3600, with flat and elegant hem / Double-stripe collar and sleeve edge / Two-button placket without a yoke. Authentic and unmistakable, the M12 has not changed much from the original design by Fred Perry in the '50s. Legend has it that a Lillywhites customer requested his football team's colors on the plain Fred Perry polo shirt. Fred discreetly added the team colors to the collar and cuffs, and thus the M12 was born. The garment that marked the transition from sportswear to streetwear, the first to feature our distinctive double stripe in the 5-4-4 ratio. Reflecting Fred's famous linear fit, slightly squarer than the M3600, it is the result of a process carried out with love: each polo shirt is knitted, dyed, cut, embroidered, and finished by hand in Leicester, England.
